Ideal of all Terrorists Osama Bin Laden

Osama Bin Laden was one of the most wanted fugitive terrorist on entire history. He was born on 10th March 1957, was a Saudi Arabian-born militant and founder of the militant organization named Al-Qaeda which had a great number of training camps in many different places of many countries.  His true goal was to drive US forces from the Arabian Peninsula, overthrow the Government of Saudi Arabia and support the other militant groups around the world. In this blog we will explore the Laden’s life and his doing which make him the ideal of all terrorist around the world.

Early life

Osama bin Laden was born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, son of a billionaire a Yemeni Mohammad bin Awad bin Laden and his 10th wife, Syrian Hamida Al-Attas. He was raised as a Sunni Muslim. He completed his primary and secondary grades from Al-Thager Model School which is in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia from 1968 to 1976 and studied economics and business administration at King Abdul Aziz University which is located near his school. He also earned a degree in civil engineering in 1979 and according to his teachers he was a very hard working student. At university his main interest was religion, where he was involved in both interpreting the Quran and Jihad. Following his father’s footsteps, he at the age of 17 married Najwa Ghanem and later married five more women. Bin Laden fathered 26 children with his wives.

 His Beliefs and Ideology

The main concept of Bin Laden’s ideology was that civilians of United States were legitimate targets for Al-Qaeda to kill. He and his leaders of Al-Qaeda believed that US foreign policy had oppressed, killed or harmed the Muslims in the middle East countries. So, the threat US national security which are getting by Al-Qaeda was not for what US is but rather what US does. They legalize the mass killing of innocent people of US by claiming that since US is democratic country, all citizens bear the responsibility for its government’s action and for that reason the civilians of US can be lawfully punished by death for the actions of US government.

Militant and Political Career

The first major Middle Eastern terrorist attack on US soil was done on February 26, 1993 by a young extremist named Ramzi Yousef who was trained in one of Bin Laden’s camps which was done by planting a truck bomb beneath the World Trade Center. The plan to topple both towers failed but 6 people were killed and thousands were injured. Yousef had many other plans of simultaneous bombing in dozen US international flights but failed since he was captured by FBI during the first incident. Again, on August 7, 1998, when Al-Qaeda operatives bombed US embassies in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and Nairobi, Kenya. The near simultaneous attacks killed more than 200 American, Kenyan, and Tanzanian citizens and wounded another 4,500 people. These attacks were directly linked to bin Laden, who was indicted for his role in the bombings on November 4, 1998, and again in June 1999. The charges included the murder of US nationals outside the United States, conspiracy to murder US nationals outside the United States, and attacks on a federal facility resulting in death. On October 12, 2000, terrorist operatives set off a small boat filled with explosives next to the USS Cole during its fuel stop in Yemen. The attack killed 17 Navy sailors, injured nearly 40 other crew members, and severely damaged the ship. Last but not the least, on September 11, 2001, we all know about this incident that 19 terrorists of Al-Qaeda hijacked four airliners in the eastern United States. They flew three of the planes into buildings: the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia.

They crashed the fourth plane in a field in rural Pennsylvania after passengers heroically rebelled them. The horrific attacks killed nearly 3,000 people and injured thousands more. Bin Laden eventually admitted to his role in orchestrating those attacks.

Death of Osama Bin Laden

After the incident of 11th September 2001, on October 10, 2001 Osama Bin Laden was added in the Most Wanted Terrorist List of FBI which was released by the President of United States to the public and had a bounty of $27 million for the information leading directly to the apprehension or conviction of him. He had more than 200 counts of criminal activity charges before the incident of 11th September. The US and other nations joined military operations in Afghanistan to find him and other Al-Qaeda terrorists, but Bin Laden managed to escape. In August 2010, US intelligence agencies received information that Osama bin Laden was likely living in a compound in northern Pakistan. On May 2, 2011, under orders from President Obama, a special operations unit raided the compound and killed bin Laden by shooting in his forehead.

Conclusion

Osama Bin Laden was one of the most infamous figures in human history and his destructive behavior can not be overstated. Surely all the terrorists around the world idolize his personality and would have wanted to be able to massacre innocent civilians like him. Beliefs and ideology of a terrorist should have to be strong like Bin Laden had. According to my opinion every terrorist must have their own beliefs otherwise they can not become a true terrorist like Laden. In this blog we are not encouraging or provoking anyone to do malicious acts like Bin Laden did but if you are into him you can read it.
